BOSTON CELTICS ASSIGN MARCUS MORRIS TO MAINE RED CLAWS

Celtics Also Transfer Jabari Bird To NBA G League Affiliate

 

PORTLAND, Maine – October 30, 2017 – The Boston Celtics announced today that Marcus Morris had been assigned to the Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum. Morris was assigned to the Red Claws to participate in the team’s intasquad scrimmage at the Boston Celtics Practice Facility in Waltham, MA. Following today’s practice, Morris was recalled to the Ccltics.

Additionally, the Celtics transferred two-way player Jabari Bird to Maine. Bird also participated in the scrimmage and will remain with the Red Claws. A second round pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, Bird has played in 2 games for the Celtics, averaging 1.5 points in 8 minutes per game.

 

The Red Claws season opens up this Friday at home against Delaware. Maine then plays Erie on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both games will be held at the Portland Expo.
