Maine's Busy Weekend Continues with College Park Rematch

PORTLAND, Maine. - The Maine Celtics (6-5) continue a busy weekend at the Portland Expo when they face College Park (5-3) for the second time in three days on Saturday.
On Thursday night, JD Davison's layup from three feet out delivered a walk-off victory for the Celtics, 123-122 over the Skyhawks. Davison also banked in a long three-pointer at the end of regulation to send the game into OT, and scored four of the seven needed points for Maine in the overtime period.
Five Celtics players scored in double figures, led by Davison with 36 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. Baylor Scheierman also packed the stat sheet with 23 points, 11 assists, and eight boards. Two-Way Player Anton Watson finished with 18 points and eight rebounds. Maine was lights out from beyond the arc, connecting on 19-41 (46.3%) shots from deep. The Celtics also assisted on 27 of 46 made field goals.
Scheierman will not be with Maine on Saturday, as the Boston Celtics assignee was recalled to Boston on Friday. College Park is expected to be without Two-Way Players Dominick Barlow and Daeqwon Plowden.
College Park was led by a season-high 31 points by former Maine Celtic Jordan Bowden, who buried 5-10 shots from deep. Nikola Djurisic added a new career-high 24 points and eight rebounds for the Skyhawks as six players scored in double figures.
Saturday will be the fifth and final meeting of the season between the Celtics and College Park. Maine is 2-2 against the Skyhawks, and have won the last two matchups. College Park is fifth in the Eastern Conference standings and Maine is a half game back of the Skyhawks in eighth.
It's the first of a back-to-back for the Celtics who face a busy weekend at home with three games in four days. On Sunday, the Long Island Nets come to town to battle Maine at 1 p.m. The Nets are coming off a 108-94 victory over the Grand Rapids Gold on Tuesday. Long Island is 3-4 during the regular season.
