GAME PREVIEW: Maine Welcomes Magic to Expo

PORTLAND, Maine. - The Maine Celtics look to snap a three-game losing streak when they host the Osceola Magic at 1 p.m. on Sunday. 

Maine (6-8) is currently 11th in the Eastern Conference standings. Osceola (3-6) are 15th and have lost four of their last five games. 

The Celtics most recently lost on the road 123-109 to the Westchester Knicks on January 24. JD Davison led Maine with 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Jay Scrubb added 20 points off the bench and Drew Peterson added 14 points for Maine. 

Sunday will mark the second appearance for Maine's two newcomers to the roster. James Banks III and Juwan Evans were recently acquired and each made their 2025 Celtics debut against the Knicks. 

Two of the G League's top scorers will clash at the Portland Expo in JD Davison and Mac McClung. Both Two-Way Players are in the top-10 with Davison averaging 23.0 ppg in the regular season (10th) and McClung averaging 23.4 ppg. Davison is also eighth in assists (7.2). McClung is a two-time NBA Slam Dunk Champion. 

For the second consecutive game, Maine will have no players on the injury report. Donald Carey Jr. was active for the first time during the regular season against the Knicks.

WHERE TO WATCH: Sunday's game will tip-off at 1 p.m. at the Portland Expo in Portland, Maine. The game will broadcast live on NBA TV and NBC Sports Boston.
