Celtics Sign Miles Norris to Two-Way Contract

BOSTON, Mass. - The Boston Celtics have signed forward Miles Norris to a Two-Way Contract, the team announced on Tuesday.
The second year forward has spent the 2024-25 season with the Memphis Hustle of the NBA G League, the affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies. In 36 appearances with the Hustle, Norris averaged 17.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.1 steals in 30.6 minutes per game. Norris is shooting 46.5% from the floor, including 38.5% from beyond the arc.
The 6'7, 220 pound forward has recorded four double-doubles this season, and scored a season-high 29 points on November 15, 2024, against the OKC Blue. Norris connected on 6-11 (54.5%) of his shots from deep in that game and 9-17 (52.9%) from the floor. Norris spent his rookie season in the NBA G League with the College Park Skyhawks in 2023-24. The 24-year-old forward averaged 11.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.0 steals in 45 games for the Skyhawks. He scored a career-high 35 points on January 24, 2024 against the Westchester Knicks on 11-21 shooting (52.4%) shooting, including 7-12 (58.3%) from three.
Norris has appeared in four NBA preseason games, most recently playing for the Memphis Grizzlies on October 18, 2024 where Norris tallied six points, two rebounds, one assist, and one steal in six minutes against the Miami Heat.
After playing three seasons at UC Santa Barbara, Norris went undrafted in 2023. He averaged 14.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game during his senior season for the Gauchos. Shortly after going undrafted, Norris signed a Two-Way contract with the Atlanta Hawks in July 2023.
In a corresponding move, the Boston Celtics have waived Anton Watson. Watson was previously drafted by the Boston Celtics with the 54th overall pack in the 2024 NBA Draft and appeared in 37 games with the Maine Celtics. Norris joins JD Davison and Drew Peterson as the other Celtics Two-Way Players. Each NBA team is allowed to have three, Two-Way Players on the roster.
The Maine Celtics (15-10) battle the Grand Rapids Gold on Tuesday in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Norris is not with the team for Tuesday's game.
