Chris Clemons Named NBA G League Player of the Week

CHRIS CLEMONS NAMED NBA G LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

 

 

PORTLAND, ME – The NBA G League announced today that Maine Celtics guard Chris Clemons has been named NBA G League Player of the Week for the week ending on Feb. 13. Clemons is the first Maine Celtics player to earn the award this season.

 

Clemons helped lead Maine to a 2-0 week by becoming the first player in franchise history to record a triple-double in consecutive games. For the week, Clemons averaged 28.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 12.0 assists.

Clemons started the week by recording the first Maine triple-double since 2019, dropping 38 points, 15 rebounds, and 14 assists in the 121-117 win over Wisconsin on Feb. 10. Clemons and teammate John Bohannon each recorded a triple-double in the win, marking just the third time in NBA G League history that two teammates each had a triple-double in the same game. Clemons followed that performance up with a 19 point, 12 rebound, 10 assist triple-double in a 105-99 win over Greensboro on Feb. 12. Clemons also had 2 steals in the Feb. 12 game.
