MAINE RED CLAWS, TD BANK LAUNCH ‘FUELING THE FRONTLINE’ CAMPAIGN
Six-week community initiative aimed at supporting local restaurants, while showing appreciation for frontline workers in Maine communities
The Maine Red Claws, on behalf of the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation, have teamed up with TD Bank to launch ‘Fueling the Frontline’, a six-week community initiative aimed at supporting local restaurants while also providing meals to a wide range of frontline workers in Maine.
As part of the program, TD Bank will join the Red Claws in purchasing food from six small businesses owned by Red Claws Season Ticket Members. The meals will be prepared by those businesses and delivered to frontline essential workers and those most impacted throughout their respective communities during this COVID-19 pandemic.

“Tomaso’s and the Minervino family have been big fans of the Red Claws since they came to Portland, attending games every season. The organization has always done a great job of involving the local community. My sons look forward to the annual “Family Night” game through their school each season.
We became season ticket holders this past season through our businesses and have used the tickets for contests and promotional giveaways for customers, while also attending games ourselves. The atmosphere this past season was incredible, with Tacko-mania taking over the city. My eight-year old spent an entire weekend doing yard work in order to earn a Tacko Fall jersey, which became his favorite shirt.
We’re really excited about this opportunity to work with the Red Claws and Celtics Shamrock Foundation to provide food to the Portland Police Department as a thank you for their hard work on the frontline during these difficult times. We are very grateful for the sacrifices the Police make on a daily basis to keep our community safe.”

“At Portland Pie Company our mission is to feed people. Our customers, those in need and those who deserve a little ‘thank you’ for all their hard work – especially during these times.
We’ve been a proud partner and sponsor of the Maine Red Claws and one thing we really admire is their commitment to community. Their ‘Fueling the Frontline’ initiative with TD Bank to feed essential workers is a great example. Not only are they recognizing the great work being done by these men and women but they are also helping to support local businesses like Portland Pie Company. And we thank them for that support.”

Our father and some of our uncles are retired from the PFD. We can appreciate their hard work and dedication and think it’s admirable of the Red Claws organization to give us this opportunity to show them how important they all are.”
