PHILADELPHIA - Ron Harper Jr. and Max Shulga each scored in Boston's 128-96 rout of the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 4 on Sunday night.
The pair of former Maine Celtics each checked into the playoff contest with 2:48 remaining, and each connected on their lone three-point attempts of the night down the stretch. Harper drained his triple at the 2:32 mark off an assist by Luka Garza. Harper scored five points in Game 2 of the series with the Sixers.
With 1:24 remaining, Hugo Gonzalez found Shulga in the corner for three, scoring the first playoff points of his NBA career. As a group, the Boston Celtics made 24 three-pointers on Sunday, just one short of the NBA playoff record.
Harper and Shulga each played with the Maine Celtics this past season as Two-Way players, before their contracts were converted by the Celtics. Harper inked his standard deal with Boston on April 4 after averaging 25.4 PPG in 18 games with Maine this season. Shulga's Two-Way was converted to a standard deal on March 15. Shulga averaged 15.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists in 39 NBA G League games with Maine.
Boston holds a 3-1 advantage over the 76ers in the first round matchup. The Celtics will host Philadelphia with a chance to close out the series in Game 5 on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Boston.
