PORTLAND, ME – The Maine Celtics today announced that the team has acquired NBA G League veteran Jordan Bowden.

Maine had acquired Bowden’s Returning Player Rights in a previous trade. Now back in the G League, Bowden is expected to be in uniform for the Celtics tomorrow night when Maine hosts Windy City at the Portland Expo.

Bowden, a 6-5 guard, has played in 89 G League games over the past three seasons, all for the Long Island Nets. He played all 50 games for Long Island last season, averaging 17.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. A four-year starter at the University of Tennessee, Bowden had been playing overseas in France prior to joining Maine.

To make room on the roster for Bowden, the Maine Celtics have waived Jaiden Delaire.

The Maine Celtics return to action tomorrow night vs. Windy City. Maine also faces Cleveland this Friday and Saturday at the Portland Expo. Tickets for all Maine Celtics home games can be purchased by visiting MaineCeltics.com.
