Luke Kornet Signs 10-Day Contract With Milwaukee Bucks

MILWAUKEE BUCKS SIGN LUKE KORNET TO 10-DAY CONTRACT

 

 

PORTLAND, ME –Maine Celtics center Luke Kornet has earned another GATORADE Call-Up to the NBA, signing a 10-day contract with the Milwaukee Bucks under the COVID-related hardship allowance.

 

This is Kornet’s second call-up this season; he signed a 10-day contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Dec. 21. The Vanderbilt product played in 2 games for the Cavs, averaging 2.0 points and 1.5 rebounds in 7.4 minutes per game.

 

Kornet has played in 10 games for Maine this season, averaging 11.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.5 blocked shots per game. He scored 19 points and grabbed a season high 13 rebounds in a win over Raptors 905 on Dec. 9. A four-year NBA veteran, Kornet has played in 135 NBA games between New York, Chicago, and Boston, averaging 5.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game.

 

Kornet’s second Call-Up is Maine’s sixth in the last two weeks, joining Theo Pinson, Juwan Morgan, Chris Clemons, and Jaysean Paige.
