Maine Celtics acquire Jordan Henderson

PORTLAND, Maine. - The Maine Celtics have signed guard/forward Jordan Henderson ahead of the start of the NBA G League Playoffs on Tuesday.
Henderson was acquired from the Player Pool on March 29th. The 25-year-old forward previously played 7 games for the Texas Legends during the Regular Season, averaging 10.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals in 32.3 minutes per game. On December 31st, Henderson scored 15 points on 42.9% (6-14) shooting from the floor, including 33.3% (3-9) from three in a 102-95 loss to Maine at the Portland Expo. Henderson also recorded 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Overall, he appeared in 21 games with Texas this season, posting averages of 6.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game. Henderson scored a season-high 18 points twice with the Legends, including an 18-point, 12 rebound double-double on December 28 against the OKC Blue.
In 2023-24, Henderson played 10 games for Rustavi in the Georgian Super Liga, averaging 21.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. Henderson went undrafted in 2023 after playing five collegiate seasons at Canisius. Henderson started in all 26 games played during his senior campaign, averaging 14.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per contest.
Former Maine Celtics forward Phillip Wheeler recently signed a 10-Day Contract with the Philadelphia 76ers on March 26th. Wheeler became the second GATORADE NBA Call-Up from the Maine Celtics this season and the 23rd in franchise history. In six games with Maine, Wheeler has averaged 10.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 0.8 assists, and 0.7 steals in 19.9 minutes per game.
