Maine prepares for date with Raptors 905

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario. - The Maine Celtics will look to earn their first win of the season when they battle Raptors 905 at 7:30 p.m. EST on Wednesday night.
This will be the final game of a three-game road trip to start the season for the Celtics (0-2). Maine began NBA G League Tip-Off Tournament play with two games against the Greensboro Swarm, where Maine lost both games by a combined four points. This will be the third straight home game for Raptors 905 to start the season. 905 swept a two-game series against College Park, where 905 beat the Skyhawks by more than 30 points in each victory.
Maine and Raptors 905 have scored at least 120 points in each of their first two games. Ron Harper Jr. led the Celtics in scoring in game one on November 7, racking up 28 points, four rebounds and four assists on November 7 against the Swarm. The next night, Harper Jr. poured in 29 more points, four rebounds and three assists. Wendell Moore Jr. also poured in 28 points in the Celtics' season opener, but Moore will not be with the team on Wednesday after he agreed to Two-Way contract with the Detroit Pistons.
Celtics Two-Way player Amari Williams was a force in the paint in game two against the Swarm. Williams posted 25 points, 10 rebounds and four assists on 10-12 shooting from the floor. Despite the two losses, Maine has been efficient shooting as a team. The Celtics average field goal percentage through two games is 51.4%.
Nine Raptors 905 player in the lineup after averaging at least 8.0 points per game in the infancy of 2025-26. Two-Way player A.J. Lawson leads 905 with 22.0 PPG, 2.0 RPG and 3.5 APG. Tyrese Key also averages 22.0 points so far in 2025, and Alijah Martin (Two-Way) is third on the team in scoring at 17.5 PPG. Chucky Hepburn is the third Two-Way Player for Raptors 905. The Celtics defense will be tasked with slowing down a 905 side that's scoring 127.0 PPG and shooting a blistering 52.9% from the floor, including 44.4% from beyond the arc.
The first 14 games of the season are part of the NBA G League Tip-Off Tournament. Raptors 905 and the Greensboro Swarm currently lead the eight-team East division with their 2-0 record. Maine is in seventh. The teams with the best winning percentage in each region, along with the next four teams with the best winning percentages regardless of region, will advance to compete for the Championship at the NBA G League Winter Showcase.
