Maine Celtics sign Isaiah Brown

PORTLAND, Maine. - The Maine Celtics acquired forward Isaiah Brown from the Player Pool on Thursday as the team prepares to make a run in the NBA G League Playoffs.
Brown last played in the NBA G League for the Texas Legends during the 2021-22 season where the 6'7 forward averaged 5.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals in 48 games. He previously played three games for the Santa Cruz Warriors in 2020-21. Brown played college basketball at Northern Iowa and was undrafted in the 2020 NBA Draft.
Former Maine Celtics forward Phillip Wheeler recently signed a 10-Day Contract with the Philadelphia 76ers on March 26th. Wheeler became the second GATORADE NBA Call-Up from the Maine Celtics this season and the 23rd in franchise history. In six games with Maine, Wheeler has averaged 10.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 0.8 assists, and 0.7 steals in 19.9 minutes per game.
The Maine Celtics (21-13) wrapped up their Regular Season on Wednesday with a 122-113 loss to the Westchester Knicks. Maine has already clinched a top four seed in the Eastern Conference, and awaits for the conclusion of the Regular Season on Saturday night to learn about their first playoff matchup.
