Maine Celtics sign Tyrell Roberts

PORTLAND, Maine. - The Maine Celtics have signed guard Tyrell Roberts from the Available Player Pool.

Roberts most recently played this season for the Rip City Remix, where he averaged 8.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in three games during the Regular Season. Prior to the G League, Roberts played professional in Belgium for Proximus Spirou Charleroi in 2023-24.

The 25-year-old guard began his collegiate basketball career at UC San Diego, where he spent four seasons. Roberts then spent one year at Washington State in 2021-22 and finished his college career at the University of San Francisco in 2022-23. In 34 appearances for the Dons, Roberts averaged 16.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

Roberts will occupy the open roster spot for the Celtics after Maine waived Myles Burns on February 16.
