LOS ANGELES, Cali. - An exciting NBA All-Star weekend wrapped up for Celtics Two-Way player Ron Harper Jr. on Saturday night at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. The Shooting Stars event replaced the NBA Skills Challenge this year.
Alongside his brother, Dylan Harper of the San Antonio Spurs, and his father, five-time NBA champion Ron Harper Sr., "Team Harper" was one of four teams of three – each featuring two NBA players and one NBA legend. The teams reflect NBA All-Star connections, school and team affiliations, and family ties. On Saturday night, Team Harper battled:
Team Knicks: Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks), Karl-Anthony Towns (New York Knicks) and Allan Houston
Team All-Star: Scottie Barnes (Toronto Raptors), Chet Holmgren (Oklahoma City Thunder) and Richard Hamilton
Team Cameron: Jalen Johnson (Atlanta Hawks), Kon Knueppel (Charlotte Hornets) and Corey Maggette

Team Harper scored 18 points in the first round of the Shooting Stars contest. Team All-Star scored 16, Team Cameron finished with 24 and the Knicks posted a first-round high score of 31. The top two scoring teams advanced to the final round, eliminating Team Harper.
