Evans Boston /May 15, 2025

BOSTON - NBA G League MVP JD Davison scored his first career points in the NBA Playoffs on May 14, helping the Boston Celtics stay alive with a 127-102 win over New York in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal Series.

Davison, whom the Celtics signed just before the start of the playoffs, checked in to the game late in the 4th quarter. With the game in hand, Davison was able to show off his improved shooting, nailing a difficult three-pointer as the shot clock expired.

Davison finished the game with 3 points and 1 assist in 2:34 of game time. He has played in three postseason games for the Celtics.

On April 2, Davison was named NBA G League Most Valuable Player. The third-year guard went on to be named First Team All-NBA G League for the 2024-25 season, leading Maine to a second consecutive Eastern Conference Finals appearance.
