Maine wraps up Regular Season in Westchester

PORTLAND, Maine. - The Maine Celtics will conclude the Regular Season with a road test against the Westchester Knicks as the Celtics look to secure a first round bye in the postseason.
Entering Wednesday night's game, Maine (21-12) can clinch the top seed in the Eastern Conference with a win over the Knicks (19-12) and an Osceola Magic (19-12) loss. Westchester is currently third in the Eastern Conference, one game back of the Celtics. Osceola is playing the Motor City Cruise (18-14) at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. The Celtics also have an opportunity to clinch a top two seed in the East with a win tonight and a Capital City (19-12) loss. The Go-Go also play on Wednesday, taking on the College Park Skyhawks (16-15) at 7 p.m.
Maine is the only team in the Eastern Conference to have already clinched a berth in the NBA G League Playoffs and has secured at least a top-4 seed. The Celtics have now advanced to the postseason for three consecutive seasons. Playoff tickets are available here.
Osceola can clinch a playoff spot with a win. Westchester clinches a playoff spot with a win and a Motor City loss. Capital City clinches a playoff spot with a win and a Motor City loss. Austin, Salt Lake City, and Stockton have clinched in the West.
Maine has won 15 of their last 18 games, and recently beat the Delaware Blue Coats 117-99 on Sunday without Two-Way players JD Davison and Drew Peterson available. wo-Way player Miles Norris led the Maine Celtics in scoring with 20 points on 8-15 shooting and 9 rebounds. Phillip Wheeler added 20 points and 6 rebounds off the bench. 20 points is a new season-high in scoring for both Norris and Wheeler in a Maine Celtics uniform. Both DJ Rodman and Tristan Enaruna scored 18 points, with Enaruna posting another double-double with 11 rebounds. In his first start with Maine, Tyrell Roberts recorded 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists and Jay Scrubb poured in 17 points for Maine. Maine shot 49.5% (48-97) from the floor and 31.8% (14-44) from three.
The Celtics last faced the Westchester Knicks on January 24th in a 123-109 road loss. Maine is 1-2 against the Knicks this season through the Tip-Off Tournament and Regular Season. Westchester enters Wednesday's matchup on a four-game winning streak, the longest active streak in the NBA G League. Knicks Two-Way player Anton Watson started the season with Maine. Watson signed a Two-Way contract with Boston after being selected by the Celtics 54th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft. Watson played in 37 games for Maine, averaging 12.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.
Jay Scrubb is the only Maine Celtics on the injury report for Wednesday night's game, which will tip-off at 7 p.m. EST at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York. The game will broadcast live on ESPN+.
